Lake Mead!!

I had an awesome time going to Lake Mead for some fun in the sun and some water sport action! We took a big group of about 20 people down and got a hotel in nearby Overland, Nevada. We had three boats and a lot of sunscreen! We did some wakeboarding, skiiing, and even used the air chair. This trip was special for me because even though I have been wakeboarding for a few years now I had never actually skied before. I skipped the normal skis and went straight for the slalom! I got up on my first try and had an amazing time getting a great leg workout from the slalom ski. It was a great adventure to spend a few days with friends having fun out on the lake.

We also got to go to Las Vegas for a night. This was the first time I had ever been to Vegas as well, making the trip that much more awesome and special for me. This trip really was a trip of first experiences and quite the adventure!

Road to Hana

Our first ever trip update!!!

Are you excited as I am?

Well here we go:

In  June 2010 we took a trip out to Maui, Hawaii

We had read about the Road to Hana in a few travel books and decided to experience it ourselves

 It was definitely worth the long drive and windy roads!

If you are one to get car-sick, I advise to either be the driver or bring some medicine

The pictures show for themselves how gorgeous this trip is

The best part of the trip was that we were able to bring our one-year old daughter along with us

We just carried her on the trails with us and passed her along on the hard spots

It was a blast, on the adventure scale from 1-10, this one ranks about a 5

The activities were safe and definitely family friendly

Hiking through a bamboo forest, finding waterfalls, and rope swinging into natural pools were the highlights of this trip
